BOOKKEEPER


Job Title: Bookkeeper

Location: Carlisle, Ontario

Position Type: Full-Time

Job Description: This is a full-time on-site role for a Bookkeeper at Dutchman's Gold in Hamilton, ON (office is located on 8th Concession West). The Bookkeeper will report to the President and be responsible for day-to-day financial tasks including bookkeeping, preparing financial reports, analyzing financial data, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards. 

Key Responsibilities:

· Manage all accounting and bookkeeping tasks in Quick Books, including journal entries, reconciliations.

· Prepare financial reports and analysis for management review on a weekly and monthly basis. 

· Oversee year-end closing processes, including tax returns.

· File HST payments and reports quarterly.

· Manage accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and credit control.

· Oversee accounts payable, including vendor management and payment processing.

· Manage a part-time AP clerk (clerk works 10+ hours/week).

· Liaison with operations/purchasing/admin team on invoicing.

· Assist with treasury functions, including cash flow planning and forecasting.

· Assist with budgeting and financial planning.

· Implement and maintain accounting systems and procedures.

· Optimize and improve current accounting and financial systems.

· Oversee customer and product profitability analysis.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree or college diploma in Accounting.

· Minimum of 3 years' experience in accounting or bookkeeping.

· Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.

· Proficiency in Quick Books.

· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.

· Attention to detail and accuracy.

· Strong organizational and time management skills.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
