We're planting 10 million seeds across canada with sierra club canada

Did you know that 1/3 of the world's food supply relies on pollinators like bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds? Sadly, their populations are declining due to habitat loss. At Dutchman's Gold, we're committed to creating a world that buzzes with life and that's why we're launching Let's Plant!

With every purchase of a Dutchman's Gold product, we'll be contributing to our Let's Plant initiative to plant seeds across Canada! Together with Sierra Club Canada, our goal to plant 10 million seeds across Canada in 2025. But we can't do it alone! We need you and your friends and family to join us in this vital initiative. Keep reading to discover how you can be a hero for our buzzing friends!

PLANT A POLLINATOR GARDEN

Create a haven for pollinators in your own backyard! Choose native flowers that bloom throughout the season, offering a continuous food source.

NO MOW MAY

Bees adore dandelions and wildflowers. When we mow them down or douse them with pesticides, especially in the spring when bee's food sources are scarce, we're impacting bees and their crucial pollination work.

pollinator-friendly planting!

Why native matters
All the wildflower seeds in our Let's Plant campaign are native to the province where they'll be planted – because bees need local support. Native plants bloom at the right time, thrive in the local soil and climate, and product nectar and pollen that the native pollinators recognize and rely on. Some bee favourites we're planting include Smooth Blue Aster, Wild Bergamot, Showy Goldenrod, and Rose Milkweed – each a pollinator magnet that boosts biodiversity, stabilizes ecosystems, and restores declining habitats.

By planting native wildflowers, you're not just adding colour – you're rebuilding a lifeline for bees. Learn more about the importance of native seeds and how it affects our ecosystems by clicking the link below.
