BEE My Valentine Cupcakes

Surprise your Valentine this upcoming holiday by creating these delicious Valentines Day cupcakes created with our Maple Syrup! Thank you @kaymarie.bakes for sharing this incredible recipe with us

Dry Ingredients:
15g baking powder
30g cocoa powder
226g flour

Milk mixture Ingredients:
120g milk
10g apple cider vinegar

Wet ingredients:
10g apple cider vinegar
250g oil
4 eggs
250g sugar
1 tsp vanilla
1 tsp red food colouring

Icing Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 4 cups icing sugar
- 6 tbsp Dutchman's Gold Pure Maple Syrup
- Red food colouring or sprinkles

1. Preheat oven to 350F.
2. Line 2 muffin tins with cupcake liners.
3. Combine dry ingredients in a bowl.
4. In a separate bowl, combine the milk and vinegar.
5. In a third bowl whisk together sugar and oil. Add vanilla, vinegar and food colouring (amount may vary based on type of food colouring you use). Whisk until smooth.
6. Add in dry ingredients and milk mixture.
7. Fold together until combined. If not red enough, add more food colouring.
8. Fill cupcake liners 3/4 way full with batter.
9. Bake for approximately 15 to 20 minutes, or until toothpick comes out clean. Let cool.

Icing Method:
1. Whip butter until light and fluffy, approx. 5 minutes.
2. Slowly add in Icing sugar, when it gets too thick, add in maple syrup.
3. Once all syrup and Icing sugar used, whip on high until light and fluffy.
4. Frost cupcakes, colouring a small amount red.
5. Using a piping bag, pipe little hearts in top of each cupcake, or finish with sprinkles.
